Pahilabs is a deep-tech spinoff from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, proudly incubated at the prestigious Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN), Coimbra. Founded with the vision of redefining how we approach digital trust and identity, Pahilabs emerged to address one of the most pressing challenges of the digital era—authentication.
Our journey began with the development of MAIA (Model Actuated Infinite Authentication)—a disruptive, passwordless authentication technology designed for the evolving digital landscape, including Web2, Web3, and the Internet of Things (IoT). MAIA neutralizes phishing attacks, reinforces wallet security, and redefines remote identity verification using AI-powered recognition, biometrics, and dynamic OTPs.
